Maison renovation of an old village house

Project Description

This was a full renovation of an old village house which benefited from enlarging all the window and door openings and replacing the roof. Clever use of natural light through the eaves helped brighten the interior and 140 mm insulation on the exterior helped warm it up. In the basement we excavated and built a wellness room including an Italian double shower and sauna , with all the walls, ceiling and floor rendered in Mortex plaster to create a 'Morrocan Tadelakt' seamless wet room.
